Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of questionable actions involving young women.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
